II Division. Because of the merger between ADO and Holland Sport the top three teams were promoted to First Division. After the end of the season G.V.A.V. was succeeded by FC Groningen, which took their place in First Division and G.V.A.V. returned to amateur football. No relegation this season due to the change of structure: Tweede Divisie was disbanded at the end of the season and 6 teams from Tweede Divisie were included in the Eerste Divisie, the rest going back to amateur football. Professional and amateur football were separated and thus no longer teams were relegated from second professional level (Eerste Divisie).
